Il primo messaggio inviato dall’organizzazione del MiT5 è un grido di allarme: “I AM SORRY”. Riporto di seguito il comunicato dell’artista Lanfranco Aceti.
I AM SORRY
THE EXHIBITION HAS BEEN CENSORED
BY THE ARTIST
Due to the increase of censorship and lack of support from public and private institutions in defense of freedom of artistic expression, the exhibition has been censored directly by the artist. The artist is very sorry for any non-authorized thoughts he might have had and if the fact that he is sorry offends anyone’s sensitivity.
The exhibition is not happening at Tate Modern and a flashmob non-event will not be held on the 1st of April when people should not meet at 12pm in the Turbine Hall to scream I AM SORRY in order to express their concern for violence, artistic censorship and peaceful coexistence. The non-happening will be recorded and discussed by the artist at the media conference MIT5.
Warning: This is not only a press release but also an art release. Side effects include: sarcastic behavior, critical engagements and brain activity.
Feel free to disseminate: Lanfranco Aceti under Creative Commons.
